Siskiyou Music Project welcomes back Argentinian guitar great Gonzalo Bergara with his group for an evening of hot gypsy swing and Latin-influenced music. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, guitarist Gonzalo Bergara arrived in the states in 2000 and rapidly became one of the lead figures in the Gypsy Jazz style of guitarist Django Reinhardt.
Gonzalo will be performing music from his 3 critically acclaimed albums in addition to new material, the music of Django Reinhardt, and the well-known Great American songbook.
France’s Festival Django Reinhardt festival in Samois sur Seine, the world’s biggest and most important Django Reinhardt festival, has named Bergara the best thing to happen to Gypsy Jazz in the last 20 years.
