Sinne Eeg & Peter Sprague

Thursday, February 28 @ 7:00 pm

- $10 – $25

The Art of The Duo

$25/$20 for SMP Members/$10 for Students

SMP presents welcomes back Danish jazz vocalist Sinne Eeg for her second southern Oregon appearance on Thursday, February 28 at Paschal Winery in Talent. She will be joined by San Diego based guitarist Peter Sprague.

With a distinctive style that has earned her a loyal and rapidly growing fan base in her native country of Denmark and across the globe, Sinee is considered the preeminent jazz vocalist in Scandinavia,. FACE THE MUSIC, released in 2014, earned her the Danish Music Award (Denmarks Grammy) for Best Jazz Vocal CD, along with the Ben Webster Prize (for which Sinne was the sole female recipient for the last 30 years), and the Prix du Jazz. As a vocalist, Sinne is influenced by Nancy Wilson, Betty Carter and Sarah Vaughan, but with her personal touch of soft darkness, Sinne keeps the Scandinavian melancholy settled in her music.

San Diego based Guitarist Peter Sprague is a guitarist, record producer, and audio engineer. He owns SpragueLand Studios and the label SBE Records.

Sprague studied with guitarist Pat Metheny and has performed with Chick Corea, Hubert Laws, David Benoit and Sergio Mendes. He has produced or played on over 190 recordings and has published music books, including transcriptions of his own music, and has transcribed songbooks for Chick Corea.
